ALL BLACKS WILL STRUGGLE TO WIN THE BLEDISLOE CUP |

Heavensgame was struck by one thing on Saturday night whilst watching the All Blacks and Springboks throw everything at each other.
Whilst the following is not quite an obvious statement it does have merit. If New Zealand play the same back row against Australia then Phil Waugh or George Smith will win the first Bledisloe cup match on their own. New Zealand were truly magnificent as were South Africa, from memory though we do not recall New Zealand dominating the ruck area as they normally do with Richie McCaw on the paddock. Add into the mix that Matt Giteau will occupy Dan Carter more fully than Butch James was able too and I might suggest that there is a massive upset on the cards. Daniel Carter is now so pivotal to the success of the All Blacks, that should he be shut down, hurried or denied the quality of ball that he requires, Australia's tenacity will come to the fore and see them succeed. All Australia can hope and pray for is that their forwards are able to compete at the set piece and a major upset could well follow. |
