NEW ZELAND U20 NAME TEAM FOR CRUNCH CLASH WITH PUMITAS |

 New Zealand Under 20 Co-Coaches Dave Rennie and Russell Hilton-Jones have named the New Zealand Under 20 side to play Argentina in Cardiff on Sunday 15 June at 4.00am (NZ time) in the side’s final pool match of the IRB Junior World Championship.

Zac Guildford (Hawke’s Bay) Prop Ben Afeaki, lock Sam Whitelock, No 8 Nasi Manu, halfback Grayson Hart, second five-eighth Ryan Crotty and left winger Sean Maitland are retained in the starting XV that started against Ireland while the positional changes are Waikato’s Trent Renata, who moves from first five-eighth to fullback and Canterbury’s Kade Poki, who moves from right wing to centre. New Zealand is on 10 competition points and leads Argentina by one point in Pool A.
Rennie said Sunday’s game was crucial. “This game is basically a quarterfinal with the winner advancing to the top four play-offs. The Argentina side is strong up front and will provide a stern test to our forward pack. Our performance against Ireland was a step up from our previous encounter with Tonga and we are looking for further improvements in this match.” |
