A Continuation in the resurgence of New Zealand form has seen them defeat The Springboks 19 - 0 at Newlands on Saturday.
Tries from Conrad Smith, Daniel Carter and Keven Mealamu saw the All Blacks home in this untidy encounter. Richie McCaw once again dominated at the Breakdown and showed a fuller range of his skills with a deft grubber kick through for Conrad Smith to cross wide out. As hard as the world champions played they could not crack the committed defensive line of the All Blacks. Turnover ball became a source of frustartion for the home side too. The scoreline could have been far worse for the Springboks as Carter kicked on 2 out of 7 attempts. When he isn't kicking goals the worlds best number 10 is scoring tries a lovely left foot step saw him through a tiny gap. Carter had to reach over the top of his head to get the ball down under the posts. A late interception try to Keven Mealamu sealed the game as South Africa were desperately trying to run the ball from their own 22. The question for South Africa has to be how do they find the creative spark to match their undouted commitment. Scorers:
