First five-eighth Murray Williams has been named in the 2008 Chiefs squad to officially replace Tasesa Lavea.

Williams, 25, was a member of the 2007 Chiefs squad playing a total of three games for the franchise last season.  He has been a recent member of the Chiefs Wider Training Group and will now join the squad officially due to Lavea’s season-ending foot injury. 

Williams made his Chiefs debut in the Chiefs v Stormers match in Cape Town in February last year.
