GUY BERINGER APPOINTED TO THE LONDON IRISH BOARD |

London Irish is pleased to announce that Guy Beringer has joined the Board with immediate effect. Guy, who is 53, won two rugby blues at Cambridge and played for London Irish from 1977 to 1987, captaining the Club for the 1985 season. He also represented Ulster for two seasons.
He became a partner of Allen & Overy LLP in 1985 and was Senior Partner from 1999 until he retired from the firm earlier this year. In October 2006, he was appointed Queen's Counsel (honoris causa) for his contributions to pro bono and legal services. He is a non-executive director of Fleming Family & Partners Limited and a non-executive member of the Board of Her Majesty's Courts Service. Guy is a member of the Corporate Advisory Board of the Royal Academy and a Fellow Commoner of St. Catharine's College, Cambridge. He is a Governor of The College of Law and an Adjunct Professor at the Imperial College Business School.
