Sale Sharks are delighted to announce that they have concluded the signing of 26 year old scrum half Dwayne Peel on a three year contract.
Sale Sharks CEO James Jennings said, “ I am delighted to be able to announce that Dwayne Peel will join Sale Sharks at the start of next season and that he has committed his future to the Club for the next three years. We continue to build a squad with genuine world –class talent and we are very fortunate to have attracted another international scrum half to Sale Sharks. Our ambition to compete with the best clubs in Europe means we must attract and retain players with the ability and commitment to achieve playing success at the highest level – I am certain that Dwayne shares this ambition.”
Sale Sharks DOR Philippe Saint Andre said, “The news that Dwayne has agreed to join Sale Sharks is excellent news for the club and the supporters. He is a World Class Scrum Half and together with Richard Wigglesworth we will have two young, international players covering the number 9 position.”
Dwayne Peel said, “This is a chance to play in a different environment, a chance for myself and my girlfriend Jess to sample a new experience and a chance for me to play in a different league against different players. I know some of the Sale Sharks players (Andrew Sheridan, Jason White, Charlie Hodgson and Mark Cueto from the Lions tour of 2005). Sharks have some great players and I am looking forward to playing with them.”
