Following four league wins in a row since the start of the season Bedford Blues Top the table and are gearing up for another huge game at Goldington Road this Saturday as 3rd placed Exeter make the long journey into town.

The Blues have a good home record against the Chiefs having won the last three encounters and will be hoping to continue their 100 per cent start to National Division One.

Bedford last faced Exeter in a dramatic game back in January when a try from Alex Page as well as a James Pritchard penalty and two drop goals from Ben Patston was enough to see the home side to a 14-12 victory.

The Blues overcame London Welsh 23-32 at Old Deer Park in a fantastic game last Saturday that will have boosted confidence around the Bedford squad no end. Tries from Brendan Burke, Ryan Owen and Billy Twelvetrees along with Pritchard's reliable boot made the difference in the top of the table clash.

This weekend's game will be another tough encounter considering that Exeter - one of the pre season favourites for promotion - will also be on a high after brushing Moseley aside in a ten try 70 points to 10 win in their last league match.
